Presidents day is on the third monday. On febuary Presidents Day is the common name for the United states federal holiday officially designated as Washington's Birthday. The holiday was celebrated on Washington's actual birthday on Febuary 22. In 1971 the federal holiday was shifted to the third monday of febuary. In Washington's home state of Virginia the holiday is legally known as "George Washington day."
